GRINTA single-serve hydration sachets
Why GRINTA exists

Kids were stuck between adult sports drinks and sick-day products.

Most sports drinks were made for adults, with 34g of sugar in a single bottle. Most kids’ hydration products were made for sick days, not tournament days.

GRINTA was built for young athletes: kids who spend hours on fields, courts and rinks, going from one game to the next.

Sonia and Jaspaul, founders of GRINTA
Made by a sports family

Built by parents who wanted better for every young athlete.

GRINTA was created by Sonia and Jaspaul, an Ottawa family raising four active kids. Sonia brings a background in science and sports nutrition and nearly two decades in regulated health and wellness.

They saw how much sugar and how many artificial colours were going into the drinks kids reach for at every game, and decided to change it. Working alongside experts, they built the sports drink they wanted for their own four kids and for every family like theirs.

Why the name

Courage. Grit. Focus.

GRINTA is the word Italian soccer uses for courage, grit and focus. It is the mindset to keep going when the game gets hard, and it is what we want every young athlete to feel when they reach for their bottle.

Pediatric guidance

One bottle is more than a kid’s daily limit.

Pediatric groups recommend kids keep added sugar under 25g a day. A typical 591ml bottle of a traditional sports drink has 34g. One GRINTA sachet, mixed in 600ml of water, has 10g. And some of the most popular drinks with kids are labelled for adults only.

GRINTA: one sachet mixed in 600ml of water, as directed on the pack. Traditional sports drinks: a representative 591ml bottle from a leading brand, based on its published nutrition label. Values vary by brand and flavour. Source for the 25g limit: American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
